It has just been announced that the 7th Cormoran Strike — Robin Ellacott novel, THE RUNNING GRAVE, will be published on September 26, 2023 by Mulholland Books in the U.S. ($32.50). In the U.K. it will be published by Sphere on the same date (£25.00). No plot summary available. If this book is published under the same conditions as the last several there will be no advance reviews and everyone will be restricted from reading it before the publication date. It is purported to be another big book (960 pages). I just hope that Joanne is over her war with the Twittersphere, which resulted in her last book, THE INK BLACK HEART, being 1,024 pages — way too long. If only Joanne would allow her work to be edited by someone with a big red pen and a sharp pair of scissors, we’d all be happier. That said, I still like her books because of the engaging characters.
