If you read Michael Connelly’s latest DESERT STAR, you were left wondering if we would ever see Harry Bosch again. For those who haven’t read DESERT STAR, you’ll have to read it to find out why I say this.

Well, Michael Connelly’s 2023 novel has just been announced. It will be RESURRECTION WALK and will feature both Micky Haller and Harry Bosch (yes!).

Here is the plot summary: Defense attorney Mickey Haller is back, taking the long shot cases, where the chances of winning are one in a million. He agrees to represent a woman in prison for killing her husband, a sheriff’s deputy. Despite her conviction four years earlier, she still maintains her innocence. Haller enlists his half brother, retired LAPD Detective Harry Bosch, as investigator. Reviewing the case, Bosch sees something that doesn’t add up, and a sheriff’s department intent on bringing a quick search for justice in the killing of one of its own.
 
The path to justice for both the lawyer and his investigator is fraught with danger from those who don’t want the case reopened. And they will stop at nothing to keep the Haller-Bosch dream team from uncovering what the deputy’s killing was really about.

In other Michael Connelly news: There are two new, as yet untitled Amazon TV projects in development, one a spinoff from the hit series “Bosch,” based on his novels about Harry Bosch, an LAPD detective (which will feature his long-time partner Jerry Edgar), and the other based on his books about another detective, Renée Ballard, with whom Harry sometimes teams up.

Season 2 of The Lincoln Lawyer is still in production and will appear on Netflix. No drop date for it has been announce yet.
