SLOW HORSES PREMIERS APRIL 1st ON APPLE TV+
The moment many of us have been waiting for . . . The global release of the Apple TV+ show is on—oh-so-apropos—April Fool’s Day. The adaption of Mick Herron’s first Slough House novel, Slow Horses, follows a team of British intelligence agents who serve in a dumping ground department of MI5–Slough House. Gary Oldman stars as Jackson Lamb, the brilliant but irascible leader of the spies who end up in Slough House due to their career-ending mistakes. Joining Oldman is a decorated ensemble cast including Academy Award nominee Kristin Scott Thomas (Darkest Hour), Academy Award nominee Jonathan Pryce (The Two Popes), BAFTA Scotland Award winner Jack Lowden (Dunkirk), and Olivia Cooke (Sound of Metal).
The cover article of our Issue #91 is a primer on the whole “Slow Horses” Universe. It is one of my all-time favorite series. If there is anyone reading this post that doesn’t have access to that article (non-subscriber) here is a link to that issue. I don’t usually give access to prior issues out of respect for subscribers who pay to read each issue, but I am passionate about Mick Herron’s series and want to promote it to encourage people who haven’t read it, to get off their slow horse — and read it.
Another bonus for us fans: May 10, 2022 will see the publication of the next in the Slow Horses series — BAD ACTORS. I’ve read it already and it’s fabulous!
