The Telegraph’s Best Crime Books of 2023
by Jake Kerridge
AGE OF VICE, Deepti Kapoor

THE END OF US, Olivia Kiernan
THE MURDER WHEEL, Tom Mead
THE RUNNING GRAVE, Robert Galbraith
THE RISE (a novella), Ian Rankin
SMALL MERCIES, Dennis Lehane
INDEPENDENCE DAY, Martin Cruz Smith
THE SECRET HOURS, Mick Herron
THE SCARLET PAPERS, Matthew Richardson
THE WINTER LIST, S. G. MacLean
ACT OF OBLIVION, Robert Harris
SCARLET TOWN, Leonora Nattrass
Comment: I’m puzzled why Jake Kerridge comes up with a best list for Crime Time and then another list (almost completely different) for his regular gig at The Telegraph. Both lists are good ones though.
