Some of these “best” lists that I’ve been posting are harder to get than others — especially when they are hidden by internet paywalls that make you subscribe to the periodical before you can access the article. This list was one of them. I did notice a link to listen to the article, which I did, but after five titles it stopped. But J. Kingston Pierce of The Rap Sheet came to my rescue this morning. He was stopped by the paywall, but he knows Tom Nolan and had him send him the list in an email which he posted this morning. So hats off to Jeff Pierce.

As to the list — not a bad one. I’ve read three on the list and liked them all.
