Editor’s Comment: This list is highly skewed towards psychological/domestic suspense, which is all the rage now. If that is a favorite area of mystery for you, this is a good list to follow as it contains almost all of the year’s prominent titles in that subgenre. I like to read a good psychological suspense/domestic suspense novel every once in a while — if it is really good. But not as a steady diet. I prefer novels of detection and action thrillers. I’ve read four of the mysteries on the list and have one other on my nightstand.
