Ryan Steck has come up with his list of the 20 best thrillers so far in 2021. I’ve read 11 of the 20 and tend to agree with him in large part, although he has a looser definition of “thriller” than Larry and I have.
I wouldn’t have included Daniel Silva’s THE CELLIST on a list of best thrillers of the year. I’m a big fan of Silva, but his books are hit or miss with me. This one was a miss.
The best action thriller I’ve read this year is DEAD BY DAWN by Paul Doiron and that novel didn’t appear on his list. It has non-stop suspense and action.
We’re approaching that time of the year when lists of the “Best Mystery, Crime Fiction and Thriller Novels” will start coming out (November and December). I will be accumulating those lists and posting them as they appear. Fun times!
